A little poem for you

This is a poem by Morgan Harper Nichols from her book ‘All along you were blooming. Thoughts for boundless living’….

If ever you have been afraid to fly for fear of where you’d land,

and you have struggled finding peace in what you do not understand,

know that trusting is better than knowing

there is ground beneath your feet

because, my dear, courage is found in believing beyond what you can see.

How do you feel reading that? What happens in your body?

I feel my shoulders drop, an exhale, a sense of comfort, like everything is going to be alright.

Words speak so powerfully to the body, as does music and art and dance. It changes our state.

I will be sharing this poem at my winter resting session in Cardiff next Tuesday. We will be using movement, music, poetry and meditation to bring us down gently into a state of rest.

If you are in Cardiff, we have 2 spaces left for next week, and I would love to have you with us for what is going to be a gorgeous experience. Info and booking is here

And if you’re not in Cardiff, I am offering 1-1 online resting sessions through November and December, where you can experience all this from the comfort of your own home. In these personalised sessions we will be supporting you to create your own resting routine. You can book in your session here

This season is time for us to honour the slower, darker and nourishing side of our nature.
