No 'end of year reflections' from me

At the end of the year, I always feel a sense of pressure to reflect. To look at back at what I have achieved and to come up with plans for the new year that's around the corner.

I can feel my resistance bubbling under the surface, like it just doesn't feel right. So now I give myself full permission to not give in to this pressure.

Our bodies have no idea what the date is. December and January are just a continuation of winter (if you're in the Northern hemisphere). The more I tune into my body and live more in line with the seasons, the easier it becomes for me to tune out the 'made up' systems that have been put on us.

Spring is my new year. We wake up from hibernation, the trees start to bloom and the sun starts to light up our days again. That's when I feel there is a natural ending and new beginning.

Calendars, week days are a made up system. I'm not saying they are not useful, but remember they are a construct. So if like me you are not feeling the end of year/new year vibe, I'm letting you know that its ok. You can decide your beginnings and endings.

December into January is continuation of winter. Go and rest.
