The next leg of your trip of life

There’s a reason why people end up sitting with me in a coaching experience. It’s no coincidence that they chose me as their coach. I feel that that they have circled around to being with me because I’m the person that’s meant to join them for the next leg of their trip of life.

They have what they have at this point.

They know what they know at this point.

They’ve done what they’ve done up to this point.

I have what I have at this point.

I know what I know at this point.

I’ve done what I’ve done up to this point.

And somehow, together this combination is going to take them to the next point.

My clients have usually done a lot of soul searching by the time they meet me. They are smart, wise and strong (even if they don’t believe so). They have survived a lot of shit and are courageous, and somehow life has dimmed their light a little.

They’ve lost their bright spark.

They’ve lost their sense of adventure.

They’ve lost their cheeky, playfulness.

They’ve lost their curiosity.

They’ve lost their connection to themselves.

They’ve forgotten who they really are.

It all makes sense. We were never encouraged to stay true to ourselves. The tough things we had to endure taught us how to adapt and shape ourselves to cope and survive in the world. It’s hard to stay playful and curious when you’ve had to stay strong for so long.

(I’m saying ‘we’ because this is also me, and I’m guessing it’s also you too).

We are all on our own unique leg of our trip of life, and we don’t have to take the trip alone.

In all my work on learning how to come home to myself I have learned that people show up at the time when we are ready and able to receive what they have to offer.

I had a new client sign up to work with me this week. Someone who has been ‘stalking’ me for some time (I know how it works - I do this too - follow someone online, suss out if I like them, do I trust them?…) and I completely believe that they have reached out and made the decision to work with me because they are ready to allow me to join them on the next leg of the trip.

So, check in with yourself. If any of this is making sense for you and has sparked some curiosity then I really encourage to reach out and have a chat with me. It’s the best way for you to check out if I’m the right person for you, and if I am, then I would love to join you on the next leg of your life trip!
