Do you worry what other people think of you?

Some thoughts if you worry what people think about you….

You really aren’t that special. I mean that in the most liberating way. We think we are the centre of the world and that people are really interested in us. They aren’t. They are preoccupied with worrying about themselves and what’s going on in their world.

You ARE unique, interesting and special AND at the same time completely ordinary. What a wonderful paradox.

Your job is not to be liked by everyone. Your job is to be yourself. I’m not talking about being an arsehole and not giving a shit about anyone else, but just being your honest true self and giving your energy to those who get you.

Spending time and energy trying to manage the thoughts inside other peoples minds about you is an impossible feat. It’s like trying to catch a cloud. You will never pin it down.

Someones thoughts ABOUT you IS NOT YOU. They are separate things. As a wise client of mine put it - ‘I would rather someone THINK I’m a t**t than BE a t**t’. 😊

These things might make logical sense to you, but to really get them in your bones is something else. I know, because it’s an ongoing project for me too, but I have learned how to embody this over time and it’s what I guide my clients through too.

If you’re relating to this, maybe I can help. I’m always up for a chat to find out - feel free to book in a call here, and maybe we can use that wasted energy for good.
